the 11 songs on this release are a tribute to the early gd luxxe stuff. a collection of tracks that were around for sometime but never really fitted to any older gd luxxe release.

songs like „believe“, „only love“, this perfect sight“ or „remain“ were remodelled and remade, other tracks like „airline map“, „diggin“ , like a loop“ and more are brand new.

On September 10, 2001, Max Müller and his band Mutter released a CD called "Europe against America". One day later, two airplanes hit the World Trade Center, and no-one dared to touch that record any more.  

It is stories like this that crop up regularly in the biography of  this 1963-born singer, author, graphic artist and composer of film and theater scores,

With his fantastic solo album „Die Nostalgie ist auch nicht mehr das, was sie früher einmal war“ (Nostalgia isn't what it used to be any more), Max Müller, at first glance, shows his more accessible side. Assembling it together on his computer in a LoFi manner, he sketches post- apocalyptic scenes whose calm is treacherous, bearing the constant threat of new seismic shocks.

Max is the greatest German poet of this age. In his desperate vehemence, he neither cares for syntax nor style. Everthing comes out raw and unexpected, nothing is linear. He needs no rhymes to disguise himself or to encrypt some overblown nonsense.

Springtime, warmth, sunrays clearing the morning mist in an Austrian forest. It´s pictures like these that came to my mind when listening to the first takes of this album. At a first look, this album seemed to be a sunny, very accoustic-guitar drenched piece of quiet music, but hearing the songs again I found some very unusual elements and electronic structures in a so called "Folk" record. Beats sneak in now and then, bleeps from ancient synthesizers swirl through space, vocoders takes over the lead vocals from time to time.Leaning back I noticed that I haven´t heard music like that before. This record definitely takes the genre "Folkmusic" to another dimension.

Im drückend heißen Sommer 1994 nahmen Gerhard Potuznik und Tex Rubinowitz ohne Plan eine Platte auf, sie nannten diese Platte MÄUSE, die auf Empfehlung des Superstars Falco auf dessen Label Gig Records landete, und mit 171 verkauften Einheiten der größte Flop dieses Labels werden sollte.

Die Mischung war einfach zu seltsam, zu spröde, schwer nachvollziehbar, zu unheimlich, weder lustig, noch modern, niemand hat sie verstanden.
Dass Koryphäen später von der längst vergriffenen Platte raunten, sie hätte das Genre Electroclash erfunden, und Peaches klänge ohne sie nicht wie sie später klang, das kann man alles nicht beweisen, ist aber evident.

Leider haftete ihnen fortan der denkbar dämlichste Name an, den man einer Band geben kann, dabei war das doch nur der Titel der Platte.

Zwei weitere Platten folgten, bei Patrick Pulsingers und Erdem Tunakans Label Cheap Records, das Label wurde kleiner, aber die Verkäufe größer, satter.
Potuznik und Rubinowitz tourten als MÄUSE konstant viel, in ganz Europa, Vorgruppe für die Goldenen Zitronen, Faust, Alan Vega, Tulip die singende Tulpe, aber 1999 lösten sie MÄUSE auf, und gründeten stattdessen das Label Angelika Köhlermann, um die ermüdende Tourroutine zu beenden, und Musik zu delegieren.

2009 begannen sie wieder aufzutreten, diesmal mit Philip Quehenberger und Didi als erfahrene Musiker, die den Songs mehr Druck und Dringlichkeit geben, man trat auf Festivals auf, auch im Palais de Tokyo in Paris vor tausend Gästen. Man wurde mit Weinflaschen und Camemberts beworfen, gibt’s eine größere Ehrbezeugung?

Ende 2010 nahmen Potuznik und Rubinowitz erstmalig nach 14 Jahren wieder etwas auf, zunächst eine auf 999 Exemplare limitierte EP mit 5 Stücken, der irgendwann im Jahre 11 eine ganze CD folgen soll, die dann heißen wird:
